Carrie Underwood will soon be taking over the airwaves in a new way. The eight-time GRAMMY® Award winner is set to launch an exclusive year-round SiriusXM channel titled, CARRIE’S COUNTRY, in June.

SiriusXM announced the news Monday, May 1, sharing that the new channel will be curated and presented by Underwood, who joins SiriusXM’s artist channel lineup of Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio, The Beatles Channel, Drake’s Sound 42, and more.

“I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel,” Underwood said in a press release.  “I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my personal musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all of the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country.”

Listeners can expect CARRIE’S COUNTRY to be a musical journey that highlights Underwood’s friends, favorite tracks, and influences, from new and classic country, to classic and hard rock, workout hits, gospel, and more. This set of music will be the ideal soundtrack for any exercise routines, road trips and late-night jam sessions. The channel will also unveil stories behind the female songstress’ music, her record-breaking career, and life on the road.

In addition to playing Underwood’s own extensive hit-filled catalogue, SiriusXM subscribers will hear music from some fellow musical icons such as Keith Urban, Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, and Miranda Lambert to AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and The Rolling Stones.

“Carrie Underwood is one of country music’s biggest and most multi-faceted artists today, and to collaborate with her on her very own SiriusXM channel is truly special,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “CARRIE’S COUNTRY will give listeners and fans the opportunity to connect with her on a new level, beyond her musical choices and influences, as she curates the channel’s programming. We welcome her to the SiriusXM family as we continue to expand our country music offerings to our subscribers.”

The original programming will include monthly themed shows, morning workout and late-night hard-rock blocks, as well as Savior Sunday – a full day of inspirational music including Carrie’s own gospel catalogue, country titles, and more of the music that is close to her heart.

In the segment, “Find Your Path,” named after her bestselling lifestyle book, Underwood and her fitness trainer will share advice, helpful strategies, healthy habits, and more. She will welcome other friends, peers, and fans as well to serve as special guest DJs.

Plus, in another regular feature, inspired by her ongoing Las Vegas residency REFLECTION, the Oklahoma native will reflect on her plethora of career milestones and memories using the songs that make up the soundtrack to her life. Along the way, she’ll introduce listeners to her band members, touring crew, and the cast of characters that makes up her touring family, and will share her passions for fitness and wellness, gardening, and all of the favorite things that make up Carrie’s world.

The newest 24/7 channel will be available to subscribers across North America in their cars or anywhere they go with the SXM App.

Carrie Underwood recently wrapped up her 43-city U.S. arena tour, THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR. This massive trek kicked off on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in Greenville, South Carolina and ran through March 17 when it came to an end with a sold-out show in Seattle, Washington.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Resorts World Las Vegas next summer,” says Underwood. “REFLECTION is a show I’m so proud of and have so much fun performing. I love being out on the road with THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR and look forward to returning to Vegas once that wraps, as it has become our home away from home where we get to play to audiences from all over the world.

50 YEARS AGO, 7 COLLEGE KIDS STARTED ACTING IN AN 88-SEAT CHURCH BASEMENT. LAST NIGHT, ONE OF THEM HELD HER 3RD TONY. Laurie Metcalf just won Best Featured Actress in a Play at the 79th Tony Awards for her role as Linda Loman in Death of a Salesman — alongside Nathan Lane, directed by Joe Mantello. This is her 3rd Tony. Her 7th nomination. But what she did at Radio City Music Hall wasn’t about the numbers. She stood up there and named 6 people. Not agents. Not producers. Six college friends from Illinois State University who started Steppenwolf Theatre together — in a church basement. Gary Sinise. John Malkovich. Jeff Perry. Terry Kinney. Moira Harris. Al Wilder. “I still consider them family,” she said. “I still draw on lessons I learned from them.” After everything — the Emmys, the Oscar nomination, decades on Roseanne — the first people she thanked were the ones who knew her before any of it mattered. Some things don’t change, even after 50 years.

THEY FIRED HIM ON A TUESDAY. BY SATURDAY, HE WAS SMILING ON A SAILBOAT. Scott Pelley spent 37 years at CBS News. He anchored the Evening News. He reported from war zones. He won dozens of Emmys. And last week, on his new boss’s very first day, he stood up in a staff meeting and said what nobody else would. He told executive producer Nick Bilton he’d “never be welcome here.” He accused CBS chief Bari Weiss of “murdering” 60 Minutes. But what Pelley claimed they asked him to do behind the scenes — that part changes everything. Within 24 hours, he was handed a termination letter. Fired “for cause.” 37 years, gone in a single page. Then Saturday morning, he posted a photo on Instagram. No anger. Just him at the helm of a sailboat, hands on the wheel, American flag behind him, looking out at open water. His only words: “You are the wind in my sails. So deeply grateful.”
