Snoop Dogg called Sofronio Vasquez’s final performance “one of the best performances he has seen”. Both Sofronio and his coach Bublé were moved to tears on The Voice

In an emotionally charged moment during The Voice Season 26 finale, coach Michael Bublé found himself reaching for tissues after his team member Sofronio Vasquez’s powerful performance.

“I need to borrow Reba’s Kleenex.”

The Grammy-winning singer confessed, his voice thick with emotion.

The Filipino powerhouse had just delivered a stunning rendition of “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman, one of two performances that would determine his fate in the competition. The stakes couldn’t have been higher—one of the top 5 finalists will walk away with $100,000 and a record deal, with America’s votes deciding the winner.

The final night of performances showcased the remaining contestants—Danny Joseph, Jeremy Beloate, Shye, Sydney Sterlace, and Sofronio Vasquez—each performing both a ballad and an uptempo number.

The evening marked a shift from the usual format of The Voice, with the decision moving from the coaches’ hands—Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé—to America’s votes.

Vasquez, who has been turning heads since the Blind Auditions, chose a bold strategy for his finale appearances. Starting with a daring Sia cover and culminating in his show-stopping performance of “A Million Dreams,” he left both the audience and coaches speechless. The latter performance particularly resonated with Snoop Dogg, who declared it one of the best performances that he has seen.

Bublé’s emotional response to Vasquez’s performance revealed a deeper connection to the song choice.

“My wife and kids are home tonight, and that song was a choice for both of us because it meant a lot to both of us in my family,” he shared.

The coach went on to offer words of wisdom about being present in the moment:

“To watch you do that and to be in the moment like you were, that’s all we’ve got. We can’t control what we can’t control. All we can control is being present. I love you. I’m proud of you.”

The evening wasn’t just about the competition. It also featured a special holiday performance of “Maybe This Christmas” by Michael Bublé and Playoff Advisor Carly Pearce, a collaboration born from their instant connection during the season when Pearce helped mentor Team Bublé.

As The Voice Season 26 heads into its final results night, Vasquez’s emotional performance stands as a testament to the genuine connections formed throughout the season. Whether or not he claims the ultimate prize, his impact on both the audience and his coach is undeniable.

The winner of The Voice Season 26 will be revealed during Tuesday night’s star-studded finale, but regardless of the outcome, Vasquez has already proven himself a standout performer on The Voice, capable of moving not just the audience but even his seasoned coach to tears.
