It doesn’t matter of who we are, we all have a level of talent that is hiding somewhere under the surface. Some of us may be able to take that talent and shine in front of others but there are also many of us who hide the talent as we don’t feel worthy of showing it for the world to see. We may even be able to sing, but we might reserve our singing for the shower and for anyone who happens to be close enough to hear us by accident.

One of the singers that has really taken off in recent years is Michael Bublé. He is a singer with a timeless voice who does his own music but also sings the classics in a way that everybody loves. At times, he may even do something unusual and it tends to happen when he is in concert. He picked somebody out of the audience at random and calls him up to sing for him. That is what happened in Amsterdam, but the skill and talent of the audience member shocked Michael as much as anyone else.

It happened when Michael was performing at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. He was singing a song, Fly Me to the Moon when he asked a random audience member to come up on stage with him. Once the person starting to sing, you can see the shock coming across Michael’s face. Imagine the odds that he picked Richy Brown, a talented Dutch artist.

Richy was just there enjoying the concert like everyone else but he took the challenge and ran with it. Michael told the audience the name of the man after he sang. It wasn’t set up in advance and the audience went crazy when he started singing.

“By the way, just for those of you because I hear this sometimes, for those of you in the audience tonight who thinks that this is set up or this is something that I’ve ever rehearsed or done, I’ve never met Richy before … this is the first time we have ever met,” Michael Bublé told the crowd before Richy took the microphone.

You can see the surprise on Michael’s face as the velvet voice of Richy filled the stadium. As he sang Fly Me to the Moon, Michael is swaying back and forth to the music and loving every minute of it.

It wasn’t enough that he was singing the song on stage, he even free styled for a while. After the shock wore off, Michael was clapping through the song and told the crowd after the performance: “I thought you were going to go for the big note at “please be true” but you [scat singing notes].”

This is probably a defining moment for Richy Brown and one that he will remember forever. Not only did he get to sing in front of a large audience, he was sitting across Michael Bublé. He even allowed his personality to shine through and Michael said that he was somewhere between Frank Sinatra and Mariah Carey.

After the performance, Richy Brown posted it on YouTube and it has gone viral. More than 1 million people have watched the video and it is still growing. Who knows where he will show up next?
