When he saw her after a gig in Buenos Aires the singer says it was “love at first sight”

Michael Buble first saw Luisana Lopilato across a crowded room as he was being bundled into a car by his security team following a gig in Buenos Aires.

Turning to his grandfather, who was with him at the time, he said: “You know grandpa, that’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, and I’m never going to see her again.”

However, fate was on Michael Buble’s side, as just a few hours later she arrived at the same party he was attending.

The bad news was that she was on the arm of another man, who Michael later described as so incredibly good looking that “Brad Pitt was a schmuck compared to this guy”.

The 41-year-old singer since said he thought, “Oh my god, the woman of my dreams, and she’s with her boyfriend.”

And the Canadian crooner had yet another challenge to overcome – 29-year-old Luisana didn’t speak a word of English.

After a few drinks to drum up courage, he finally chatted to the pair, only to discover that the man was just a friend, an actor she was working with at the time.

A very famous face in her country, Luisana had gone to the concert as she liked Michael’s music, but said she had no idea what he looked like.

When someone asked if she would like a picture with him, the 29-year-old politely

As he left the party, Michael wooed the actress and model with the words “You’re my wife, you just don’t know it yet”.

Full of confidence the model replied, “Of course you want me to be your wife, every man wants to marry me, so we will have to see!”

Only later did he find out that Luisana had called her mother that night to say she was at a party with Michael Buble and that he was “so gay”.

Despite the inauspicious start, the pair quickly began courting (assisted by an interpreter who spoke fluent Spanish), and when Michael went to visit Luisana and her family three months later they quickly fell in love.

The couple are now parents to 3-year-old Noah and 10-month-old Eli
