Jelly Roll is set to deliver another powerful moment with the debut of his new song, “Dreams Don’t Die,” during the Friday, episode of CBS’s hit drama Fire Country. The track, teased as a heartfelt anthem about resilience and hope, perfectly aligns with the show’s themes of redemption and second chances—making it a fitting musical backdrop for the high-stakes emotional drama.

A new song from Jelly Roll is coming soon.

Jelly Roll is stepping into a new chapter of his career: He’s gearing up to make his acting debut on the CBS series Fire Country.

While some might have considered Jelly Roll’s appearance in Tulsa King his acting debut, the “Son Of A Sinner” singer played a character very similar to the country superstar he is in real life, making this TV appearance the first time he’s portrayed a character.

Even with this being Jelly Roll’s first time getting into a character, his Fire Country personality has a lot of similarities to his life, including the character’s name, Noah, which is the same name as his son. According to Us Weekly, Jelly Roll’s character is a healthcare worker and former convict who’s in the process of turning his life around.

His character description adds:

“Now, he works with patients like his mom, and their loved ones who struggle with saying their own goodbyes.”

His Fire Country episode is set to air on April 11th, and Jelly Roll also announced that he has a new song debuting on the same day. Jelly Roll will release “Dreams Don’t Die,” which will also be featured in the television episode.

We got a snippet of the song during a teaser that Fire Country shared online, and it appears that this song will follow the pattern of being a Jelly Roll hit.

“🚨This is not a drill. 🚨Jason ‘Jelly Roll’ DeFord is guest-starring in ‘Fire Country’ on 4/11 and his new song ‘Dreams Don’t Die’ will debut that very same day! 🔥 Y’all excited?”

In the few lines we hear of the upcoming song, Jelly sings about never giving up on your dreams, and even if one might burn out, there is always another spark waiting for you to ignite it into a flame.

“How many dreams
Have I seen burn up
Like ashes?
….

Where dreams don’t die”

I’m very excited to hear this song in full, and soon. Next week’s New Music Friday will be a big one for Jelly Roll with a song release and his TV acting debut.

Before you go, fire up Jelly Roll’s performance of “I Am Not Okay” from Tulsa King.
