Canadian singer Michael Bublé recently became the most streamed artist on Spotify on Christmas. Pop Base shared the news on their official X account with the user handle (@PopBase), on Thursday, December 26, 2024. According to the tweet:

“Michael Bublé was the most streamed artist on Spotify on Christmas. (December 25th),” read the tweet.

Bublé’s 2011 tracks It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas and Holly Jolly Christmas even made it to Spotify’s Top 20 most listened Christmas songs this year. Both these songs were part of his seventh studio album named Christmas.

As per a report by Forbes dated December 17, Michael Bublé’s Christmas has made it to the charts almost every year during the holiday season, since it was released back in 2011. This year, on November 18, he added a new track Maybe This Christmas to the popular album.

The latest track also featured country singer Carly Pearce. PEOPLE reported in a copy published on December 23, that Bublé contacted Pearce for the collaboration on this new track, which they reportedly recorded using an iPhone 16 Pro. The song was reportedly about the holidays and experiencing loneliness. He then told PEOPLE:

“This season is tough for a lot of people. There’s a lot of people that are struggling being alone, people that have lost people or people dealing with mental health.”

According to Forbes, both Carly Pearce and Michael Bublé felt that the song was special. The Christmas artist even revealed that he had faced similar situations in his own life.

“It’s something that happened to me, something I went through, and sometimes God just gives you the words. Sometimes you’re just a conduit,” explained the singer.

Pearce too shared her take on the song and mentioned that the song would resonate to those who felt lonely during the holiday season. The duo reportedly performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville as well as on The Voice.
