Usually, Kelly Clarkson chooses songs by other artists to perform for her popular Kellyoke segment—but she stuck to her own catalog for one recent installment of the series.

On the Wednesday, March 26 episode of her eponymous talk show, Clarkson belted out her own tune, “Dark Side” (from the 2011 album Stronger).

Wearing a long black leather skirt and a black button-down shirt with white dots, Clarkson wore her light brown hair long and loose as she sang, accessorizing with a pair of black heels and what appeared to be a pair of gold hoop earrings.

“Just amazing ❤️❤️,” wrote one person.

“This song was always so criminally underrated love this song 👏👏🔥🔥,” agreed a second Instagram user.

“This song has had a hold on my soul since day one! Loved hearing it!!” added someone else, with another commenter adding, “One of my all time favorite songs. Would love to hear this live one day!”

“Dark Side” has long been a fan favorite for Clarkson’s supporters. The music video for the song was nominated in the category of Best Video with a Message at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (though it lost to Demi Lovato‘s “Skyscraper”).

And last week, on his new boss’s very first day, he stood up in a staff meeting and said what nobody else would. He told executive producer Nick Bilton he’d “never be welcome here.” He accused CBS chief Bari Weiss of “murdering” 60 Minutes. But what Pelley claimed they asked him to do behind the scenes — that part changes everything. Within 24 hours, he was handed a termination letter. Fired “for cause.” 37 years, gone in a single page. Then Saturday morning, he posted a photo on Instagram. No anger. Just him at the helm of a sailboat, hands on the wheel, American flag behind him, looking out at open water. His only words: “You are the wind in my sails. So deeply grateful.”
