Rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest stars on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the hitmaker received a mountain of praise for her Kellyoke segments. Although fans love watching Clarkson cover iconic songs, she recently joined forces with country singer Jelly Roll to give a special duet of his new song “I Am Not Okay.”

Although “I Am Not Okay” surrounded a person struggling with mental health and the pain of asking for help, Clarkson and Jelly Roll loved their time on stage together. Clarkson admitted, “This song is so good. I’m so excited he’s allowing me to sing on his song, ‘I Am Not Okay’ and it’s so good. I’m just a huge fan. I love authenticity and I love real messages. I. think that real s**t really matters.”

While the crowd cheered on Clarkson and Jelly Roll, online, fans offered their thoughts on the performance, insisting, “I absolutely love how she totally could overpower him if she wanted to but she played off of him so well and kept it his song and it came out so beautiful.” Another person added, “Who else listened to this 10 times over immediately? Wow! After I stopped crying I realized that Kelly is the angel to this song. I thought the song was perfect before but Kelly added something soft and powerful at the same time. It was a perfect union of male and female vocals sung by two people who really believed what they were singing deep inside of them.”
