Episode 3 of the “The Voice US” season 14 Confrontation round ended yesterday, but its echoes were quite strong, not only because of the impressive performances, but also because of the noise in Kelly Clarkson’s team.
After Performing Burning House, Coach Kelly Clarkson Chose To Keep Justin Gilgore And Eliminated Molly Stevens. In A Now-Deleted Instagram Post, Molly Expressed Harsh Criticism Toward Her Coach. Specifically, The Openly Gay Artist Felt Disappointed When Kelly Compared Her To Other LGBTQ+ Artists Like Melissa Etheridge And Indigo Girls.

Molly Shared: “While I Am Honored To Be Grouped With Such Talented Artists, I Truly Believe That This Comment Was Offensive To All Of Us And Labeled Us Under One Single Category (Being Gay). I Found It Narrow-Minded, And It’s Something I Want The World To Recognize. I Don’t Think Kelly Clarkson Meant Anything By It Or Even Gave It Much Thought, But Clearly, I Did. In My Mind, I Am A Singer, A Songwriter, Who ‘Happens’ To Be Gay.”

After A Fan Angrily Brought The Post To Kelly’s Attention, The Coach Responded: “Oh, This Really Confuses Me. People Should Listen To Everything I Actually Said. I Compared Molly To Melissa Etheridge, Patty Griffin, And Indigo Girls Simply Because Of The Rasp In Her Voice And Because She’s A Great Storyteller.”
After Kelly responded, Molly deleted her post. Fans also pointed out to Molly how pro-LGBT Kelly is and how many fans she has in the community.
