Michael Buble has admitted he behaved ‘recklessly and carelessly’ with the hearts of women he previously dated.

Now happily married, the 49-year-old singer appeared to include ex-girlfriend Emily Blunt in the reference.

The former couple dated from 2005 until their split in 2008 after he allegedly cheated on her.

The Everything hitmaker has been married to actress and model Luisana Lopilato, 37, for four years

But he says he had to change his previous ways in order to become a loving husband and father.

‘I was a jerk and I was careless and reckless with the hearts of women I was with,’ Michael told etalk. ‘And I got my karma. I earned it.

‘I got my butt and heart kicked and it hurt me enough that I looked in the mirror and I didn’t want it to happen again.’

Michael dated Emily, 42, for three years until their split in 2008, months after shirtless photos of him in bed were leaked online, allegedly taken by a woman he was cheating with.

In November 2007, The Globe reported that Tiffany Bromley had snapped the images and confessed to having an affair with Michael during his relationship with Emily.

Edge Of Tomorrow star Emily is now married to John Krasinski, 35, with whom she shares a 13-month-old daughter, Hazel.

‘I think everyone looks back at some of the things we did and it’s so cringy how I acted,’ the father-of-one added.

‘I learned about myself, I got closer to being spiritual and learned to be in the moment and realize how short life is. It changed everything.’

Michael credits his changed perspective as the key to a successful relationship.

‘The reason to be a good guy isn’t for the person you’re with, it’s for you,’ he said. ‘That sounds weird but I like me better now. I’m happier now.

‘I’m better at what I do, I’m better on stage because I’m not pretending to be the guy I want to be.’

Michael added that he hopes to make life ‘as normal as possible’ for his little boy and is looking forward to taking some time off and spending it with Luisana on set.

His personal growth has contributed to a much more fulfilling professional life.

‘Now when I go on stage it’s bliss…’ Michael said. ‘Before that curtain opens I sit and I say thank you universe, God, it makes me better, more vulnerable.’
