On the day his latest album Love bowed, Michael Buble got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame this Friday – and it was love that was on his mind.

He and his wife Luisana Lopilato, who was sitting in the audience, both visibly teared up during his speech as he paid tribute to his family

Among a slew of other thank-yous, Michael 43, as seen on the Variety stream heaped praise on ‘my wife, who – there’s nothing I can really say that can express how I feel about her and what we’ve been through. She is my hero and my rock.’

The couple have undergone a frightening ordeal together – their son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer at three and underwent four months of chemotherapy.

While Michael was seen wiping his eye as he spoke about Luisana, she was glimpsed dabbing away a tear when he began talking about their little tykes – Noah, now five and in remission, Elias, two, and Vida, three months.

He said the children ‘have given me a purpose for life and have made days like this even sweeter because I can truly understand how beautiful the good moments are.’

The Canadian crooner closed out his speech by noting that ‘The longer I live, the more I realize that love isn’t free. Love has a great cost,’ he said.

‘The more you love, the more you hurt, the greater chance of suffering and pain,’ said the ex-boyfriend of Emily Blunt.

‘And when I woke up this morning, I thought about that, because I thought that for all of you people – all of those people that have loved me and supported me through the good times and the bad, I would risk that love a million times over for all of you. So, thank you so much for this great honor today,’ he said.

Michael and Luisana got in a lot of posing over his new star, and they shared a loving kiss as they stood together on the red carpet.

He also got photographed alongside Priscilla Presley and David Foster, both of whom he has worked with, as well as Leron Gubler and Tom Corson.

Leron happens to be the President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce, the organization behind these Walk Of Fame stars.

Tom, who used to be the president and the COO of RCA Records, is currently the co-chairman and COO of Warner Bros Records.

The dreamy singer’s new album Love was produced by David at the Frank Sinatra-founded label Reprise Records, which was Warner Bros Records for a distributor.

Michael is no stranger to a bit of showmanship, and he did a push up over his star whilst he was alone on the red carpet.

Priscilla delivered a warm speech praising Michael, who recorded the old 1950s standard Fever to be overlaid as a duet with her late husband Elvis Presley.

‘It’s on an album called If I Can Dream, which went number one, and I think you were part of that. You definitely helped with that,’ she said.

‘Do you know, it knocked my record out of the number one position?’ Michael told her, and after a bit of back-and-forth she reminded him that If I Can Dream’s success was a number one ‘For you too!’

While she was explaining how she got the idea for the duet, Priscilla accidentally said Elvis when she meant Michael, then teased Michael: ‘You’d like that, right?’
