She walked off every stage without a second thought. And what most people don’t realize is this wasn’t the first time Lorrie had to sit in that kind of silence. Together they built a blended family — her two kids, his four, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Seventeen years of all of that. Her stepson Jesse Keith Whitley wrote from the hospice room that Randy loved him and his sister “as we were his own.” Lorrie posted a photo of them backstage at the Grand Ole Opry with five words: “Ran-Ran, I will love and miss you forever.”
