Hannah Harper brings out Carrie Underwood to sing her viral song "String Cheese"

American Idol Season 24 Champion Hannah Harper made her Grand Ole Opry debut and brought out a surprise guest.

On May 19, it was announced that Hannah Harper would be making her debut at the Grand Ole Opry.

The Opry announced that her debut would take place on Tuesday, June 2, and fans were thrilled!

Hannah Harper Won Season 24 Of American Idol

The Missouri native and mom of three was named the winner of the hit singing competition show on May 11.

Her journey began when she went viral during her auditions thanks to her original song “String Cheese,” which is about her struggles with motherhood and postpartum depression. Her audition has over 1.3 million views on YouTube alone.

Week after week, Harper delivered incredible performances, choosing songs that represent her journey as a mother, wife, and aspiring country singer.

Her standout performances include “Landslide,” “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” “Mean,” and “A Broken Wing,” which she sang with former Idol contestant Kellie Pickler.

Hannah’s Grand Ole Opry Debut

When it was time to step on the most famous stage in country music, Hannah was ready and gave audiences exactly what they wanted and more!

In the middle of her set, Harper was getting ready to perform her viral hit, “String Cheese,” when she brought out a surprise guest.

After singing the first verse and chorus, Harper said to the audience, “I want to bring out my mama friend, Carrie Underwood!”

The audience went absolutely wild before the American Idol champion-turned-judge sang the second verse.

They finished the song together and then Underwood pointed to Harper to take a bow!
