Snoop Dogg Opens Up About Legendary Night With Blake Shelton: Friendship, Laughter, and Five Bottles

In a candid and humorous interview, Snoop Dogg shared a wild story about his unexpected camaraderie with country superstar Blake Shelton, revealing a night that combined music, laughter, and more than a few drinks.

“I never met a cowboy like him,” Snoop laughed. “Man can drink, sing, and still wake up smiling. I don’t know how he does it — must be that Oklahoma DNA.”

The tale dates back to 2021, when Snoop appeared as a guest mentor on The Voice and Shelton was hosting. What was intended to be a brief visit to Shelton’s trailer quickly turned into an unforgettable six-hour session, fueled by whiskey, tequila, and beer. “We finished five bottles between us,” Snoop recalled. “Whiskey, vodka, even some stuff I couldn’t pronounce. Blake kept asking, ‘You good, Snoop?’ I kept saying, ‘I’m Snoop Dogg, I’m always good.’ Lies. All lies.”

Amid the buzz of drinks, the two improvised music, attempting country songs with Shelton on guitar and Snoop adding verses. “We thought we were making the next Old Town Road,” he joked. “Next morning, I listened back — it sounded like two raccoons fighting in a trash can.”

Despite their different worlds, Snoop praised Shelton for his authenticity. “He’s no Hollywood type,” Snoop explained. “Blake is real — what you see is what you get. He’s funny, loyal, and he doesn’t fake nothing. That’s rare in this business.” Shelton, in turn, has called Snoop “the chillest human being alive,” cementing a friendship that thrives on honesty and humor.

Snoop also revealed the “rules” that make their bond work: no ego, no cameras, and just respect. “When we hang out, it ain’t for Instagram,” he said. “It’s two dudes from different worlds who just like good music, good drinks, and good laughs.”

Though a musical collaboration has yet to happen, Snoop hinted it’s still possible — provided the bottles don’t get in the way first. Reflecting on that infamous night, he concluded with a grin: “That night hurt the next day, but it healed the soul. Blake taught me that sometimes, friendship is just sitting back, getting a little messy, and laughing till sunrise. I’ve smoked with legends, I’ve partied with icons — but I never met a cowboy like Blake Shelton. He ain’t just country. He’s real country. And that’s a rare breed.”

The story captures more than a night of indulgence; it’s a testament to the unexpected bonds that form when two artists from different worlds connect over music, humor, and genuine friendship.
