The Voice fans shocked as major rule change hits Battle Rounds and for the first time, coaches won’t hold all the power

Meet The Battle Advisors For Season 28 Of The Voice

As soon as the blind auditions for Season 28 of The Voice ended on October 7, the show named its four battle advisors for the season.

The list of names includes some familiar faces that longtime Voice fans will recognize. That’s because two of this season’s battle advisors are former coaches!

Coaches Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Michael Bublé have assembled a group of notable performers to advise Season 28’s talented contestants.

Only one country artist is among this season’s advisors. But surprisingly, she isn’t helping the show’s country queen, Reba.

Instead, The Voice revealed that country singer and former Voice coach Kelsea Ballerini will serve as the battle advisor for Team Bublé.

So if Ballerini isn’t helping Team Reba, who is? McEntire’s battle advisor is another former Voice coach, but he isn’t a country artist.

Much to Voice fans’ surprise, it was announced that two-time coach Nick Jonas is returning to the show to advise McEntire’s team!

Although McEntire and Jonas have never appeared on The Voice at the same time, they have worked together in the past. McEntire played Annie in Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway in 2001. That’s when Jonas made his Broadway debut in the musical as “Little Jake.”

The pair reunited at the iHeart Radio Music Awards in 2015, when they posed for a photo with Boy George.

As for Snoop Dogg (vying for his first win this season), he is welcoming pop superstar Lizzo to the Voice to help his team!

The Carson Callback allowed host Carson Daly to save one contestant who didn’t get any chairs to turn, and they got to return for a second audition.
