Blake Shelton Shares Update from His ‘Sinking’ $4M Oklahoma Ranch — Watch

Country superstar Blake Shelton is taking a breather from his hectic career to spend some quality time at his sprawling Oklahoma ranch—but even in downtime, life on the land keeps him on his toes. The 49-year-old recently gave fans a candid update from his 1,300-acre property, revealing that heavy rains have caused parts of the ranch to literally “sink.”

In a playful video posted on Instagram, Shelton shared his experience while tending to his sweetcorn. “About to do a little spraying on my sweetcorn. Got all my stuff loaded up there in the orange Kubota, and man, it’s been one of those years in Oklahoma,” he said.

Despite appearances, Blake explained, “It’s been awesome, but man, we’ve had a lot of rain, and areas that look dry, even though they look dry, they’re saturated.” As the camera panned to deep tire tracks in the muddy ground, Shelton recounted how his trusty Kubota tractor got stuck.

“When I tried to drive through, it ended up sinking,” he said. “I hit the gas pedal, put it in four-wheel drive, and I pulled her on out.” Demonstrating his good humor, Blake broke into song: “I was way down in it with a big old loader, but I always pull out when I’m on my Kubota…”

Captioning the clip, he advised fans: “Don’t get overwhelmed in the moment… Concentrate on pulling out. #kubota.”

Shelton purchased the ranch for around $4 million before he and wife Gwen Stefani built their dream home on the property. The couple raises animals on the land and even constructed a chapel where they wed in summer 2021.

Blake, Gwen, and her children Kingston (19), Zuma (16), and Apollo (11) divide their time between the Oklahoma ranch and their $14 million mega-mansion in Encino, Los Angeles.

As Shelton’s ranch adventures show, even amid the challenges of rural life—muddy tractors included—he’s finding plenty of joy and plenty of reasons to sing.

The arena went silent. Music stopped. Lights dimmed. Jelly Roll leaned in and said, “Remy, you’re up.” Out came an 8-year-old boy—Kelly Clarkson’s son. Tiny sneakers. Big nerves. The song? “Because of You,” the one that made his mom famous. His voice started soft, shaky. But Jelly Roll stood close, giving him quiet support. Slowly, Remy grew stronger, more sure. He wasn’t just singing—he was sharing something real. The crowd stayed still. No phones. No noise. Just eyes watching, hearts full. Backstage, Kelly cried. One hand on her chest. Keith Urban was finishing his concert like usual—same lights, same cheers. Then, out of nowhere, the big screen lit up: “Happy Father’s Day, Daddy,” written like a kid’s drawing. Next came a home video—Keith flipping pancakes, laughing with messy hair and a full heart. The crowd went quiet. Then Nicole Kidman and their daughters walked on stage with lilies and mics—no show, just love. Keith couldn’t hold it in. Tears came. His voice cracked. Faith played piano, Sunday sang soft backup, and Nicole stood by him with a hand on his back. He kept singing “Making Memories of Us,” barely holding it together. It didn’t feel like a concert anymore—it felt like home. Real, raw, and full of love. That night wasn’t just a show. It was Father’s Day.
