So, you can imagine how absolutely overjoyed I am standing in that very circle where so many legends have stood.”

He also paid tribute to legendary drummer Eddie Baird, who played alongside him that evening. “Did I ask to meet him? Yes! Eddie Baird is not just our drummer tonight; he’s a true country music legend. He’s been heard on so many music programs and is in the Country Music Hall of Fame for his work on the drums. Thank you, Missouri, for getting him on the show. Eddie is the only drummer in the Hall of Fame, and it was a true honor to meet and be with him.”

Foster’s love for words, both written and sung, continues to be a powerful part of his identity. He reflected on how songwriting shapes not just his music but his entire way of thinking and expressing. “Music is a part of speaking. Music is a part of feeling. I sat there and, I mean, my speech was a lot about music. So it made sense,” he laughed.
