“This Is My Legacy” – Maksim Chmerkovskiy Says Being a Father to Three Boys Is His Greatest Pride

For Dancing with the Stars alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy, nothing compares to the role that’s changed him the most: being a father. The ballroom champion and proud dad recently opened up about the overwhelming pride he feels raising his three sons — calling fatherhood the most meaningful chapter of his life.

“This Is What I Was Meant to Do”In an emotional interview, Maksim shared just how deeply fatherhood has transformed him. “Being a dad to three boys… it’s the most important job I’ve ever had,” he said. “They’re my world. They’re my legacy.”Maks, who welcomed his third son with wife Peta Murgatroyd last year, admitted that while parenting three little ones isn’t always easy, the love he feels is unmatched. “It’s chaotic, it’s exhausting, but it’s the best kind of chaos,” he laughed. “When I look at them, I feel like everything I’ve done in life led me to this.

”Raising Men With PurposeMaksim also spoke about the responsibility he feels in raising strong, kind, and grounded men. “I want them to grow up with love, respect, and purpose,” he explained. “They’re watching everything I do — how I treat people, how I love their mom — and that shapes who they become. That’s not something I take lightly.

”Despite a demanding career and a busy household, Maks says the bond he shares with his sons is what keeps him centered. Whether it’s bedtime stories, dance-offs in the living room, or teaching them how to navigate life, he cherishes every moment.A Father FirstWhile fans may know him for his slick moves on the dance floor, Maksim Chmerkovskiy wants the world to remember him for something more meaningful: being a present, loving father.“At the end of the day, it’s not about trophies or applause,” he said softly. “It’s about my boys. They are, and always will be, my proudest achievement.”

When the last note hung in the air, the crowd was silent… and Reba was wiping away tears. This wasn’t just a performance—it was a love letter that left everyone breathless.
