Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston Rossdale made his musical debut at Blake Shelton’s bar, Ole’ Red in Oklahoma

On Friday night, Blake Shelton popped in to perform at his Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. His wife Gwen Stefani was a special guest star. But there was more. Blake teased on social media that an artist would be making their debut at the club. And this artist turned out to be the oldest of Gwen’s three sons, 17 year old Kingston Rossdale.

“Ok y’all here’s the deal… 7:30pm this Friday I’m gonna set up and play 30 minutes or so acoustically,” Blake wrote on Twitter. “Then I’m gonna turn the stage over to a debut artist that will be doing their VERY FIRST public performance! See you at the @OleRed Tishomingo Doghouse!!!! You never know who else may show up….”

Kingston’s father and Gwen’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale fronted the alternative rock band Bush, so musical talent runs on both sides of the family. Fun fact: Gavin coached one season of The Voice in the United Kingdom.

At the end of his set, Blake hugged Kingston before he left the stage. Afterward, Blake teased, “I mean, I’m not gonna let him close the show. I’m still in competition mode a little bit,” Blake quipped, “I was trying to think, like, ‘How do you follow that?’”

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton

After Kingston’s set, Gwen Stefani joined Blake Shelton on stage

Of course, with mama, Gwen Stefani, who came out on stage to sing her hit, “Don’t Speak,” afterward Blake joined her on stage to sing their country duets “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You.”

Blake introduced Kingston saying, “This guy’s an artist, he’s the real deal.” The young singer sang a full set of alternative rock. His father’s music is obviously a huge influence. Check out a few more songs: “Alone,” “That’s Still the Plan,” “Strawberry Fields” cover.

Gwen is also mom to 14-year-old Zuma and 9-year-old Apollo. She and Rossdale split up in 2015. She went on to marry Blake in 2021, whom she met when they both coached The Voice.

Speaking of The Voice, Blake coached his last season this past season. He was the only remaining original coach, having appeared on all 22 seasons of the NBC singing show. Gwen will return this fall to coach for the first time without her husband.

And last week, on his new boss’s very first day, he stood up in a staff meeting and said what nobody else would. He told executive producer Nick Bilton he’d “never be welcome here.” He accused CBS chief Bari Weiss of “murdering” 60 Minutes. But what Pelley claimed they asked him to do behind the scenes — that part changes everything. Within 24 hours, he was handed a termination letter. Fired “for cause.” 37 years, gone in a single page. Then Saturday morning, he posted a photo on Instagram. No anger. Just him at the helm of a sailboat, hands on the wheel, American flag behind him, looking out at open water. His only words: “You are the wind in my sails. So deeply grateful.”
