With the stage set for the season 27 finale of The Voice, Jadyn Cree, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, Jaelen Johnston, Renzo, and Adam David could do nothing more than wait. While voting ended Tuesday morning, the Top 5 will get one more chance to perform during the season finale. Teaming up with their coach, the remaining contestants hoped to offer fans one last performance before learning their fate. But before Carson Daly revealed the winner, Kelly Clarkson returned to offer a taste of her new song “Where Have You Been.”

Winning season one of American Idol, Clarkson was proof to the contestants of what could happen if they won.

For Shelton, it was his first time back to the stage since 2023. Much like Clarkson, Shelton used the moment to promote his newest album For Recreational Use Only with the song “Texas.”
