THE CROWD THOUGHT HER SET WAS OVER…” One Surprise Walk Back Onto The CMA Fest Stage Turned Into One Of The Night’s Biggest Country Music Moments.

Gretchen Wilson and Ella Langley brought the “party” to CMA Fest this year!

CMA Fest is an annual, multi-day music festival in Nashville. Many daytime stages and events are free for fans to attend, but tickets are required for the evening shows at Nissan Stadium.

Both Wilson and Langley were on the bill to perform at Nissan Stadium during the first night of the festival (June 4). Langley’s set kicked off around 10 PM local time, and Deana Carter took to the stage after her, followed by Wilson.

Since Langley had already left the stage (or so people thought), no one anticipated that she’d be back moments later to join Wilson for a duet!

Wilson shocked everyone in the audience when she welcomed Langley to the stage to sing “Here for the Party.” Wilson released the rowdy, fun-lovin’ hit in 2004, and it peaked at #3 on the Hot Country Songs chart.

Tons of videos flooded social media after Langley and Wilson united for their unexpected duet.

Head below to watch several clips of Gretchen Wilson and Ella Langley singing “Here for the Party” together. This was such an epic surprise to kick off CMA Fest!

Gretchen Wilson, Ella Langley, & Over 150 Artists Performed At CMA Fest This Year

CMA Fest ended on Sunday (June 7). In addition to Gretchen Wilson and Ella Langley, the lineup featured over 150 of country music’s biggest names and rising stars, including John Foster, Emily Ann Roberts, Tucker Wetmore, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Lainey Wilson.

Those who were unable to attend the festival in person still had the chance to watch some highlights on TV, though. The CMA Fest TV special aired on ABC on Thursday night, June 25.

Country singer, Marshals star, and future Voice coach Riley Green co-hosted the TV special with GMA’s Lara Spencer.

And to kick off the show in a big way, Ella and Gretchen were among the very first performers that viewers saw when the broadcast began.

You can watch Ella Langley and Gretchen Wilson’s full CMA Fest performance, thanks to the TV special, in the video below.
