What do Michael Bublé and Blake Shelton have in common? A lot, it turns out, and not just winning The Voice. Each artist took the song “Home” to the top of the charts—Bublé in 2005, and Shelton with his country cover in 2008. The two have joined forces several times to perform the melancholy tune live, including during the 2012 broadcast special Michael Bublé: Home for the Holidays. Recently, the “Feeling Good” crooner took his social media followers on a trip down memory lane when he shared a throwback video from their incredible duet.

Michael Bublé: “Love At First Sight”

Following a popular TikTok trend, Michael Bublé even shared a video from the performance recently.

“It all started when my mom met my dad,” the voiceover said, flashing pictures of first Bublé, then Shelton. “And they fell in love, and they had me.”

The chemistry was undeniable as the fresh-faced pair traded off lines during the final verse: It’ll all be all right / I’ll be home tonight / I’m coming back home.

“Love at first sight,” Bublé wrote in the caption.

The Canadian jazz-pop singer co-wrote “Home” for his then-fiancée, Debbie Timuss, after he had been touring in Italy. Released as the second single from his fourth studio album, It’s Time, the song topped the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.

Blake Shelton included a cover of the wistful ballad on the 2008 re-issue of his fourth studio album, Pure BS. His version reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Shelton and Bublé also gave the lyrics a seasonal tweak, which appears on Shelton’s 2012 album Cheers, It’s Christmas.

How Blake Talked His Buddy Into Joining ‘The Voice’

Michael Bublé Is Compared to Blake Shelton in 'The Voice' Sneak Peek: EXCLUSIVE

Michael Bublé made his coaching debut on The Voice this September. By that point, the show had been trying to lure him to the big red chair for years. The Grammy-winning crooner has revealed that he rejected the NBC program’s offer at least 15 times before accepting the gig.

It was only at the urging of Blake Shelton that Bublé decided to give The Voice a go.

“You know I love Blake and he’s a great friend, and he talked me into it,” Bublé said. “Truthfully, he talked me into it.”
