Kane Brown’s recent day on the golf course took a frightening turn after the country star was struck in the head by a golf ball, leaving him with a serious injury.
The singer shared the aftermath of the accident on his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 23, and warned fans that the images might be difficult to see.
Kane did not provide many details about the incident in his Story, but in a now-deleted post, he revealed that an unnamed friend was playing golf with him when the accident happened.
According to Kane, the friend was positioned farther behind him and hit a slice — sending the ball off course and directly toward him.
Based on the photos he shared, the ball struck him near his ear, causing significant damage and requiring medical attention.
“[They] said it will prob get worse next 48 hours but I’m alive and that’s all that matters. holy crap,” Kane wrote along with another photo of his ear.
It seems like Kane is taking the frightening experience surprisingly well.
His wife, Katelyn, also shared a glimpse of the aftermath on Instagram, posting a video of Kane recovering in the hospital. Although the couple appeared exhausted after the ordeal, they still managed to find a moment of humor and laugh together.
Kane even held up a golf ball for the camera — which fans assumed was the one that struck him.
It looks like he may be keeping it as a memorable reminder of a golf outing he definitely won’t forget.
Kane Brown Had To Cancel His Latest Public Appearance
Although Kane is expected to recover from his injuries, the accident was serious enough that he couldn’t simply brush it off and continue with his plans.
The singer had to cancel his appearance at Tight Ends & Friends, hosted by Travis Kelce, that same night.
Thankfully, Kane is now recovering, and fans will hopefully see him back on stage once he is feeling well enough to perform again.
His next scheduled appearance is at Hoofbeat Country Fest on June 25, and so far, it appears he is still planning to take the stage.
