Jelly Roll just smashed a 5K at 340 pounds—and it’s nothing short of jaw-dropping. Starting out at 540 pounds, he’s now down a full 200, proving to everyone he’s not just talking the talk—he’s walking, running, and fighting for every step.

Jelly Roll Is On A Roll!

Jelly Roll has been shedding weight for the last year and has hit a few tremendous milestones. Over the weekend, he did it again.

During his wife’s podcast episode, Jelly Roll shared that he wanted to lose weight publicly. He wants to be a representation of what is possible. He shared,

“I wanna have one of the biggest transformations. I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people. I wore it for so long. I think that people that become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed. They’re so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight, and then they come back out and they don’t really know how to interact with the world looking different or feeling different.”

Given that he started at 540 pounds but shared over the weekend that he weighs only 340 pounds, it is safe to say that he is sticking to his word.

He has finally reached a weight loss goal of 200 pounds! This milestone was big for the singer, who referenced his having ” almost lost 200 pounds” on multiple occasions.

First, during a television appearance with Pat McAfee, and the second was when he appeared on the late-night talk show with Jimmy Kimmel.

He said, “We’re approaching the 200-pound mark. I would guess that I have lost an entire Jimmy Kimmel.”

Jelly Roll Ran A Monumental 5K

Over the weekend, Jelly Roll stood on stage with Bert Kreischer, a comedian and podcaster. The two chatted about the singer’s extreme weight loss.

Kreicher praised Jelly Roll for his significant progress, noting that just a year ago, he had run the same 5K at 470 pounds. The singer’s fitness and time had improved so much that the comedian humorously expressed a desire that he would still be heavier, as they raced together this year, and Kreischer needed to keep pace with him.

Jelly Roll then said,

“This all started because I’m a fan of the podcast. And I said that I wanted to run this race with y’all last year. And I showed up at 470 pounds last year to run this race. I showed up at 340 pounds today.”

He continued on to make a promise for the next year, saying,

“I’m going to lose another 100 pounds. I’m going to do this in 40 or 35 minutes flat next year in May, baby. I’m going to do it twice like he did. And for the first time in my career, at the end of the 5K, I’m going to stand on this stage and take off my f****** shirt next year.”

It looks like Jelly Roll is going to keep up with his health and fitness goals and will be back next year to show them off!
