Alan Jackson Celebrates His Decades-Long Career With The Last Call Tour
Country music legend Alan Jackson has been making music for more than thirty years. His debut single was released in 1989, and since then, he has sold over 75 million records worldwide. Additionally, Mr. Chattahoochie has earned two Grammy Awards, 16 CMA Awards, and 17 ACM Awards.
Last spring, Alan Jackson announced his return to touring and embarked on the Last Call: One More For The Road Tour in August. The tour, consisting of ten arena shows, will mark the last time he will perform in each of those cities.
A series of talented artists have supported the tour as show openers, including Chris Young, Lee Ann Womack, Zach Top, and more.
Some Very Special Audience Members Attend The Last Call Tour
The 66-year-old called his performance at Two Step Inn “one to remember,” but his following show may have been even more significant. Alan Jackson’s wife, children, and grandsons attended the concert at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, April 26th.
The country superstar and his wife, Denise, have been blessed with three daughters, Mattie, Ali, and Dani, and two grandchildren.
Mattie, her husband Connor, and their son Wesley attended the show along with Ali, her husband Sam, and their son Jackson. For the two young boys, it was the first time they had ever seen their grandfather perform live.
After the family outing, Mattie wrote:
“This weekend Ali and I got to take our boys to their first [Alan Jackson] show. There’s no telling how many shows I’ve been at in my life, but my goodness was this one special for all of us…”
Along with a series of photos from the show, she added:
“Wesley’s too young to get it, of course, but to have pictures and videos and memories of their Grandaddy perform is priceless to say the least. Very thankful for this little bitty moment!”
