LAWD have mercy… go off, Kelly.

Kelly Clarkson is back and better than ever hosting her very popular daytime TV talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, which was on pause while she dealt with tragedy in personal life, as her ex-husband, and the father of her two children Brandon Blackstock, passed away in August of 2025.

And if you know anything about Kelly, then you probably know that she’s a huge fan of country music, she is a Texas girl, of course, and she often covers country songs on her show during the Kellyoke segment.

She’s nailed renditions of songs like “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain,” and this week, she did a jaw-dropping cover of The Red Clay Strays song “No One Else Like Me,” which was included on their 2024 breakout album, Made by These Moments.

Of course, the band has been on a rocket ship to the moon over the last three years or so, which has found them winning awards like Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Americana Awards, New Vocal Duo or Group at the 2025 ACM Awards and scoring a 3x platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for their breakout “Wondering Why” along with a gold certification for their debut album, Moment of Truth.

Last month, the Alabama band cemented themselves as mainstays both in the minds of alternative country fans and the mainstream alike with their huge night at the 59th annual CMA Awards, delivering a killer performance of their current single, “People Hatin’,” before dethroning Old Dominion as Vocal Group of the Year en route to their first-ever CMA win.

It’s been incredible to watch their quick rise to the forefront of mainstream country music, and this is obviously just the beginning, and even more big career accomplishments are already on the slate for them, as they will play two massive shows at both Madison Square Garden and The Bridgestone Arena, in addition to putting out a new album coming in the summer.

RCS frontman Brandon Coleman could out-sing almost anyone, and we all know what a powerhouse vocalist Clarkson has always been, so she is the perfect person for any Red Clay Strays song, and obviously she blew it out of the water, so to speak.

Clearly she’s a fan of their music, and I honestly think they would do an incredible job if they ever teamed up for a song… these are the kinds of artists we need doing collabs… people who can sing their behinds off.
