Britain’s Got Talent fans claim Matty Juniosa was robbed after losing to Hawkstone Farmers Choir

As Britain’s Got Talent returned on May 30 for its 19th series grand finale, only one of the 10 remaining acts could walk away as the ultimate winner. The long-running ITV talent competition, which first launched in 2007, has become a staple of British television and continues to draw millions of viewers each year.

Over the years, the show has produced a string of unforgettable champions, including Diversity, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Sydnie Christmas, and Paul Potts, all of whom captured the public’s imagination before going on to perform in front of the Royal Family.

This year’s winner was set to receive a £250,000 cash prize along with a prestigious invitation to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.

Viewers tuned in for a night filled with high-energy performances as judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI took their places for the final time this season.

After months of auditions, semi-finals, and more than one million public votes, the series concluded with The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir being crowned the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2026. The group made history as the first choir ever to win the competition.

The choir is made up of farmers and agricultural workers from across the United Kingdom. Originally formed in 2024 with backing from television presenter and farmer Jeremy Clarkson, the group was created to celebrate and support the farming community.

Following the result, social media quickly lit up with reactions from viewers, with many congratulating the winners while others strongly disagreed with the outcome.
