NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch Dies At 41
On Thursday, May 21, the NASCAR world lost a legend when driver Kyle Busch died at the age of 41.
NASCAR confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement, while Busch’s family, Richard Childress Racing, and NASCAR also released a joint tribute honoring the longtime driver and his lasting impact on the sport.
Who Is Kyle Busch?
Kyle is survived by his wife, Samantha, and their two children Brexton (11) and Lennix (4). Busch was one of the most successful drivers in NASCAR history. Nicknamed “Rowdy,” Busch won two NASCAR Cup Series championships (in 2015 and 2019) and became known for his aggressive driving style and record-setting success across NASCAR’s top divisions.
Born in Las Vegas, Busch began racing as a teenager and quickly rose through the ranks. He debuted in NASCAR’s top series in 2004 with Hendrick Motorsports before becoming the face of Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota’s NASCAR program for 15 seasons. In 2023, he joined Richard Childress Racing.
Kyle & Samantha’s Fertility Foundation
Off the track, the couple was dedicated to raising awareness to causes close to their own heart. Kyle and Samantha founded the Bundle of Joy Fund after experiencing their own difficult journey with infertility.
Following the birth of their son, Brexton, in 2015, the couple faced years of infertility struggles while trying to expand their family. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Lennix, through surrogacy, a journey that later inspired them to help other families facing similar challenges.
To date, the organization has awarded more than 178 IVF grants totaling over $2.3 million and helped bring 111 babies into the world.
