‘Idol Philippines’ alum Matty Juniosa scores Britain’s Got Talent’s golden buzzer
“Idol Philippines” alum Matty Juniosa is off to a gleaming start in “Britain’s Got Talent” season 19, as he scored a Golden Buzzer after impressing the judges with his rendition of Prince’s “Purple Rain.”
Juniosa’s Golden Buzzer-worthy performance was broadcast on the show’s March 28 episode, where he shared that he had been living in Glasgow, Scotland, for three years and had been working as a part-time waiter.

“I have been waiting for this chance to finally put an end to this long thing that I’ve been thinking of about myself, that I’ll always be a singing competition loser,” he said before his performance. “My dream is to sing for this amount of people and to sing every day, and to make music and to conquer the world.”

“Matty, you’re the kind of artist where I would say you want to put eight spoonfuls of sugar in your tea, you put about 10,000 in. This, I think, is the biggest reaction we’ve had from anyone,” Cowell said before pressing the Golden Buzzer.
The singer took to his Instagram account to share the news, saying he is still in disbelief that he has received such an opportunity.
