The “Quad God” won, lost, triumphed, redeemed, fell, and gave the world countless dramas over two weeks in Milan, Italy.
The back-to-back figure skating world champion is preparing to defend his title in a few weeks at the World Championships in Prague, but that’s not the current topic trending online about Malinin.
Instead of wondering if Malinin can pull off the three-peat, fans are wondering if the 21-year-old American is still single following his escapades in Europe.
Although the “Quad God” stated in a recent interview before the Olympics that he is single, a slew of rumors and behind-the-scenes photographs link the world’s best men’s figure skater to multiple partners.

His own teammate and close friend, Amber Glenn, had to go on TikTok to shut down murmurs that she was dating Malinin. A video of the “Quad God” dancing with a woman who appeared to look like Glenn went viral during the Olympics.
The woman in question was allegedly another American figure skater, Gracie Gold, who finished fourth at the Sochi Games in 2014 and barely missed the podium.
Along with Gold, Malinin was spotted in Milan with one of Asia’s top figure skaters, Lee Hae-in, who finished eighth in the women’s competition. Malinin, coincidentally, also finished eighth in the men’s competition following his collapse in the free skate climax.
Although the two have been seen sending heart emojis and other words of affirmation on social media, Malinin and Lee have been longtime friends since their youth, growing up in the global figure skating ecosystem.
While rumors will continue to run rampant, nothing has been officially announced about Malinin’s single status.
That could change following the upcoming offseason with the World Championships in Prague at the end of March.
