Team USA\u2019s ice dancers appear to be moving on from the controversial scoring decision that seemingly snubbed them from a second gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n

Team USA\u2019s Madison Chock and Evan Bates\u00a0won\u2019t be filing an appeal\u00a0after all in the wake of the ice dancing final scoring scandal, where\u00a0a French judge appeared to show favor\u00a0toward France\u2019s Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron,\u00a0USA Today Sports reported\u00a0Sunday.<\/p>\n

In a statement to the outlet, U.S. Figure Skating CEO Matt Farrell said, \u201cThere has been a lot of thoughtful, and at times emotional, discussion about the ice dance competition in Milan.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking together with Madi and Evan after the Games, we will have thoughtful and intentional discussions about the best way to support them and the future of the sport,\u201d Farrell continued. \u201cFor now, we plan to join them in supporting the success of U.S. Figure Skating in Milan.\u201d<\/p>\n
