However, she always knew Arnold would make a great father one day.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_25-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cMy love for him grew that day of getting married, and then finding out we were having a baby together. Walking through this experience with him has been unbelievable,\u201d the \u201cGetting Over Him\u201d singer said. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to watching my husband be a dad. He is so obsessed with our animals; he\u2019s a big nurturer in general. In fact, when I was getting ready to marry him, that was something that I knew would be one of the best things about being his wife, was being able to parent with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_30-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Before she\u00a0learned of her pregnancy, Alaina and Arnold had planned to start trying for a baby at the end of 2025 \u2014 but mother nature had other plans.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_32-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">\u201cNow I\u2019m scared because I don\u2019t feel like I passed any sort of test. They don\u2019t make you take a test on being a mom. It\u2019s crazy. People are like, \u2018What\u2019s your plan with the birth? And what\u2019s your plan here?\u201d And I\u2019m like, listen, \u2018God\u2019s plan. It wasn\u2019t my plan,\u2019 \u201d she said, adding that she\u2019s been asking her own mom and friends with kids for advice.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_34-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\">Despite not having an exact plan, the newly minted mom has embraced this journey fully.
