The\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0alum shared a heartfelt update on Instagram Wednesday, posting a selfie with one of her beloved animals: a rooster sporting a blue harness and green bowtie. \u201cSick rooster in a harness,\u201d she wrote, adding with a smile, \u201cI don\u2019t think he likes it.\u201d The candid moment showed Underwood glowing in a simple blue T-shirt, clearly devoted to nursing her feathered friend back to health.<\/p>\n

Just two weeks earlier, Underwood revealed the source of recent farm upheaval: a swarm of bees had invaded her orchard. \u201cHad to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming\u2026\u201d she captioned a video showing the buzzing hive nestled in her blueberry bushes. \u201cMaybe we can catch them tomorrow if they\u2019re still there,\u201d she added optimistically.<\/p>\n
