Blake Shelton<\/strong>, the Oklahoma-born country music star, is being hailed as a real-life hero once again after coming to the aid of a Texas man stranded in rising floodwaters during last week\u2019s\u00a0catastrophic flood across Kerr County<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ronnie \u201cRoho\u201d Hartman<\/strong>, 64, had been attempting to drive home near\u00a0Ingram, Texas<\/strong>, when his truck stalled out on a road that had\u00a0quickly become a rushing river<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe water just came up so fast,\u201d Roho told local station KERV. \u201cI thought I could make it across like I always do. But next thing I know, the truck\u2019s coughing, and I\u2019m knee-deep trying to push it through.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He hooked up a tow line,\u00a0pulled Roho\u2019s truck out of the rising water<\/strong>, and\u00a0drove the soaked, shaken man back to his home several miles away<\/strong>, chatting the whole way.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe looked like a normal guy. Big fella. Nice as they come,\u201d Roho said. \u201cI told him,\u00a0\u2018You better slow down or my wife\u2019s not gonna believe this.\u2019<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sure enough, when they pulled into the driveway, Roho\u2019s wife came out in disbelief.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said,\u00a0\u2018Honey, slick up \u2014 Blake Shelton\u2019s bringing me home.\u2019<\/em>\u00a0She about dropped the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Though Shelton didn\u2019t comment publicly, those close to him say this wasn\u2019t for show \u2014 just\u00a0Blake being Blake<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
