During a recent episode of the\u00a0Country Heat Weekly<\/em>\u00a0podcast, the country superstar didn\u2019t hold back his praise for Stefani\u2019s cooking skills\u2014especially when it comes to her homemade lasagna.<\/p>\n

\u201cGwen mostly cooks,\u201d Shelton said with admiration. \u201cMan, she\u2019s really good at anything Italian. But my favorite is probably lasagna.\u201d What makes her lasagna stand out? Shelton revealed it\u2019s a labor of love that takes all day to prepare. \u201cThat\u2019s one of those things it takes her all day, like, it\u2019s an all day thing, you know? And for 2021, a bacon-wrapped turkey was on the menu, inspired by a photo one of Stefani\u2019s sons spotted. \u201cWe\u2019re doing it,\u201d Shelton confirmed.<\/p>\n

    During the Thursday, May 15 episode of the\u00a0Country Heat Weekly<\/em>\u00a0podcast with Amber Anderson and Kelly Hutton, the \u201cGod Gave Me You\u201d spoke about what his wife is good at making.<\/p>\n

    When asked who cooks at their house, Shelton, 48, immediately praised Stefani, 55. \u201cGwen mostly cooks,\u201d he said. \u201cMan, she\u2019s really good at anything Italian. But my favorite is probably lasagna.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The country star also mentioned that Stefani is very focused on the process of cooking the layered pasta dish. \u201cThat\u2019s one of those things it takes her all day, like, it\u2019s an all day thing, you know? And I would eat that for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Stefani\u2019s homemade delicacies don\u2019t stop there. \u201cShe makes homemade pizza,\u201d Shelton continued, emphasizing how she makes everything from scratch. \u201cMakes the dough, the dough rises, separates it, like, in the pizza oven. She really does this stuff for real.\u201d<\/p>\n

    The couple, who started dating in 2015 and got married in 2021, are all about food.\u00a0Shelton told PEOPLE ahead of Thanksgiving in 2024\u00a0one important rule about food that they follow:\u00a0\u201cNever say no to any kind of food. Whatever you want to try, I\u2019ll try it. Just bring it on.\u201d<\/p>\n

    He\u2019s also not afraid of getting creative with Thanksgiving leftovers. \u201cI heard a guy on the radio a couple of years ago talk about if you have leftover stuffing, the next morning put it in your waffle iron and make those stuffing waffles,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

    \u201cNow I do that. Now I make enough that I know there\u2019ll be some leftover.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Shelton also told PEOPLE in 2021\u00a0about the nontraditional turkeys that they will cook for the holiday \u2014 and they\u2019re not afraid to experiment with unusual ingredients.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe first year, we made a hot Flamin\u2019 Hot Cheetos turkey,\u201d he said, recalling the Thanksgiving traditions he shares with Stefani and her\u00a0sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe crusted it in the Flamin\u2019 Hot Cheetos. The next year Apollo, or maybe it was Zuma; I can\u2019t remember. We ended up doing a\u00a0Funyuns turkey, which actually tasted a lot like a regular turkey. I guess whatever they put in Funyuns, it\u2019s the same stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
