The former and future\u00a0Voice<\/em>\u00a0Coach opens up about being a parent.<\/p>\n Becoming a dad has had a massive impact on Adam Levine \u2014 but will it affect his Coaching performance on The Voice?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n It\u2019s safe to say that the Maroon 5 frontman\u2019s life changed irrevocably since becoming a father of three gorgeous children. He and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, have a full house on their hands, but the star genuinely couldn\u2019t be happier. Just days before his highly-anticipated return to The Voice for Season 27, Levine sat down with PEOPLE and spoke openly about how fatherhood has affected and changed him \u2014 even when it comes to Coaching on The Voice.<\/p>\n Although Levine is known for his brash rockstar persona outside of the show, he explained that he tries to steer away from Coaching in a negative manner, acknowledging that it\u2019s \u201ccounterproductive to be mean.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve always kind of tried to be nice\u2026 and it drives me crazy sometimes on other shows when I see people the way they act,\u201d he revealed. \u201cI\u2019m not above any other person. I give people my experiential knowledge. It\u2019s scientifically proven that it\u2019s counterproductive to be mean. There\u2019s just no f\u2014ing reason to act that way. So, I\u2019ve always tried to be as nice as possible in the context of being critical, and I think that\u2019s just the most productive way to be.\u201d<\/p>\n So, what kind of Levine will fans see during Season 27? Outside of the show, he\u2019s been embracing his softer side, so longtime fans may see a more emotional Levine this time around.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd yeah, I\u2019ve softened, I mean, I have three kids, I cry every day,\u201d he confessed. \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve also kind of always been pretty keyed in with my emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n Levine and Prinsloo share Dusty Rose, 8, Gio Grace, 6, and a 2-year-old son whose name mom and dad haven\u2019t revealed.<\/p>\n If Levine intends to shed the most tears during Season 27, he\u2019ll have to go through\u00a0Michael Bubl\u00e9\u00a0first! And of course, you miss when they\u2019re tiny, and then they get bigger, and then you say, \u2018Oh, my God, they\u2019re so big,\u2019 and then you appreciate all the things you can do with them when they get bigger. And they\u2019re not that big yet, because they\u2019re still really young, so there\u2019s so much more coming. But it\u2019s just this amazing, never-ending movie, just watching. And it\u2019s the best s\u2014t ever. It\u2019s the best thing in the world to me.\u201d<\/p>\n How sweet is that?<\/p>\n Well, hold on a second \u2014 Levine got even\u00a0more<\/em>\u00a0wholesome when he spoke about the only goal remaining in his life that he genuinely cares about.<\/p>\n \u201cI think my only accomplishment that matters really at this point, I keep going back to this, but if I can raise happy kids that love their lives, then I am a success,\u201d Levine said. \u201cThen, I will officially be the luckiest person in the world. Of all the luckiest s\u2014t that\u2019s ever happened to me, that would be the greatest accomplishment of my life, honestly.
