On May 5, Stefani commemorated her husband\u2019s\u00a030th all-time number-one country single\u00a0(\u201cTexas\u201d) with a TikTok video montage of some of her favorite Shelton moments. It was a sweet tribute to one of the\u00a0biggest country stars\u00a0ever \u2014 and one of the best stepdads around.<\/p>\n

The final video clip of the TikTok hit fans in all the feels: Stefani included throwback footage of Shelton singing \u201cOld MacDonald\u201d to a then-baby Apollo.\u00a0We\u2019re sure moments like this played a big part in Stefani falling in love with\u00a0the Oklahoma rancher\u00a0who\u2019s now the\u00a0most-winning Coach in\u00a0The Voice\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0history.<\/p>\n

Stefani captioned the video with her own sweet message, revealing she\u2019s \u201cso proud\u201d of her hubby on his impressive accomplishment.<\/p>\n

In the years since Shelton sang \u201cOld MacDonald\u201d to a young Apollo, he\u2019s only gotten closer to him. In fact, every one of Stefani\u2019s kids is\u00a0incredibly close to their stepdad. These days, we don\u2019t know who enjoys their\u00a0traditional family fishing trips\u00a0more: Shelton or the kids.<\/p>\n

In a 2023 interview with\u00a0Access Hollywood<\/em>, Shelton discussed how being a stepfather has changed him. (It\u2019s partially why he left\u00a0The Voice\u00a0<\/em>as a Coach in 2023.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI think being a stepdad has changed my perspective in that I\u2019m not the first person that I think about anymore,\u201d he said. \u201cEven to the small little things when you go, \u2018I think I\u2019ll do this,\u2019 the very next thought is always, \u2018Well, wait a minute. How\u2019s that going to work?\u2019 Or, \u2018What will they think?\u2019 Or, \u2018How will that affect a schedule?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Shelton explained that no job or career move is more important than being there for\u00a0Stefani\u2019s three sons.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the only way for me to really do that right is to step away from being committed to something like\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0that demands a lot of your time,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s no way around it. If you\u2019re going to do it and do it right, you have to be 150 percent in. And I just feel like those days are behind me for now. I got a more important job.\u201d<\/p>\n
