Burnaby\u2019s favourite celebrity had a happy new year as his mansion increased in value by six per cent to almost $28 million, according to BC Assessment.<\/p>\n

Local crooner and megastar Michael Bubl\u00e9\u2019s\u00a0seven-bedroom, 15-bathroom, 12,000-square-foot home at 7868 Government Rd.\u00a0has topped the list of Burnaby\u2019s highest valued homes for years and is the only Burnaby home to make B.C.\u2019s top 100, coming in at No. 32 in 2025.<\/p>\n

The home has jumped in value by $17.89 million since 2017, according to BC Assessment records.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s top 10 list of most valued Burnaby homes has one new addition: 7466 Whelen Crt. has knocked off 909 Burnwood\u00a0Ave. for the 10th spot.<\/p>\n

The other nine\u00a0kept their positions.<\/p>\n

Five of the top 10 homes, including\u00a0Bubl\u00e9\u2019s,\u00a0are in the Government Road neighbourhood, and four are in Buckingham Heights.<\/p>\n

Just one home, 7353 Braeside\u00a0Dr., is in the Westridge neighbourhood, off the Barnet Highway.<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9\u2019s home assessment increased by six per cent, more than\u00a0the typical single-family Burnaby home value increase\u00a0of four per cent.<\/p>\n

The other nine top home values increased between\u00a0zero and three per cent.<\/p>\n
