The theme of the evening was \u201cJudges\u2019 Song Contest Night,\u201d as each contestant selected a song chosen for them by the judges.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<p>The singers were presented with a list of three songs, not knowing which judge chose which song. Then, the contestant selected a song and learned who picked it for them after singing it.<\/p>\n<p>The judge with the most chosen songs won bragging rights. Luke and Lionel debated over who to save as the \u201cwildcard\u201d before ultimately choosing Mattie.<\/p>\n<p>She earned the final spot in the Top 7, while sadly, Josh was sent home.<\/p>\n<h3>Breanna Nix And Mattie Pruitt Unite For Gorgeous Tribute To Carrie Underwood<\/h3>\n<p>Before the results were revealed, the contestants joined forces to honor the judges with collaborative performances.<\/p>\n<p>Slater Nalley, John Foster, and Thunderstorm Artis formed a trio to pay tribute to Luke Bryan with \u201cHuntin\u2019, Fishin\u2019 and Lovin\u2019 Every Day.\u201d Gabby Samone, Jamal Roberts, and Josh King honored Lionel Richie with \u201cDancing on the Ceiling.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Breanna Nix and Mattie Pruitt became a duo to pay tribute to\u00a0Carrie Underwood\u00a0by covering her faith-based single, \u201cSomething in the Water.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The song gave Breanna and Mattie the chance to showcase the power and beauty of their voices. They took turns singing solo, reaching for sky-high notes and hitting them effortlessly. But some of the best moments came when they united and sang together, blending their voices in a sweet symphony of sound.<\/p>\n<p>Their performance left Carrie teary-eyed at the end.
