    Hannah Harper\u00a0had a very special guest in attendance when she made her\u00a0Grand Ole Opry debut\u00a0on June 2: fellow\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0finalist\u00a0Jordan McCullough! Three weeks after the pair finished in first and second place on Season 24 of the singing competition, they reunited in Nashville.<\/p>\n

    Carrie Underwood\u00a0also played on the night of Harper\u2019s June 2 debut, and she was the one who shared photos of the finalists\u2019 sweet reunion. \u201cSo proud of these 2!\u201d she captioned a photo of herself with the rising stars on her Instagram Story. McCullough reposted the image and wrote, \u201cForever grateful for you!!\u201d<\/p>\n

    During Harper\u2019s Opry debut, she got to share a special moment with Underwood on stage when they performed Harper\u2019s original song \u201cString Cheese\u201d together. It was the song\u00a0she auditioned\u00a0for\u00a0American Idol<\/em>\u00a0with, and Underwood connected to the lyrics right away, so it was a full-circle performance.<\/p>\n

    Meanwhile, McCullough will get to make his own Opry debut later this month on June 18.<\/p>\n

    The worship leader recently\u00a0told TV Insider\u00a0that he\u2019s excited to get to work on new music and that he was writing during his time in Los Angeles for\u00a0Idol<\/em>. After having previously auditioned for\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0and getting no chairs to turn around, getting to this point has been a long time coming for McCullough.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI think the first time [on\u00a0The Voice<\/em>], I was just trying to prove myself, prove myself worthy of being in that room,\u201d\u00a0he shared. \u201cThis time, you\u2019re either going to love it or not, and I don\u2019t have to prove nothing to nobody. I know the Lord loves me, and I love him, and he made this opportunity, so I\u2019m just going to walk in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

    As for Harper, the Opry performance was just the beginning of months on the road, as\u00a0she\u2019ll be touring\u00a0all summer and fall. Both McCullough and Harper will also be part of a pre-CMA Fest performance with\u00a0fellow\u00a0Idol<\/em>\u00a0alum\u00a0in Nashville on June 3.<\/p>\n
