But the dreary weather is almost a fitting scene given the heavy emotions that are still hanging over the sport after the sudden and\u00a0shocking death<\/strong>\u00a0of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion\u00a0Kyle Busch<\/strong>\u00a0on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Prior to his death, Busch\u2019s family announced that the driver of the #8 car for Richard Childress Racing had been hospitalized for a \u201csevere illness\u201d and would miss this weekend\u2019s race, with the team announcing that O\u2019Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Austin Hill would step into the car.<\/p>\n

But yesterday, RCR announced that they would be\u00a0suspending their use of Busch\u2019s #8<\/strong>\u00a0for the foreseeable future, and would renumber his car to the #33.<\/p>\n
