    He\u2019s played\u00a0Survivor<\/em>\u00a0twice and gotten to the end twice, but\u00a0Joe Hunter\u00a0simply can\u2019t get any jury love. The fire caption turned\u00a0Tyler Perry\u00a0action star once again made it all the way to the end on\u00a0Survivor 50<\/em>\u00a0but could not get a single jury vote, losing to\u00a0Aubry Bracco\u00a0and\u00a0Jonathan Young\u00a0by a 8-3-0 vote. It was a jury Joe believes already had their mind made up before they walked onto the Tribal Council set.<\/p>\n

    Why wasn\u2019t this jury picking up what Joe was putting down? How does he feel about\u00a0Cirie Fields\u00a0saying he needed so much managing that he had to be put on a \u2018Joetation\u2019? And which vote surprised him the most? We asked Joe all that and more and you can watch or read the entire interview below.<\/p>\n

    JOE HUNTER:\u00a0<\/strong>This is no joke. I always try to keep it as real as I can with everyone. I sit down in that chair for final Tribal, right? And I\u2019m thinking:\u00a0All right, here we go.<\/em>\u00a0And right away, I mean, the second before any word was said, I went: Oh, that one hates me, this one hates me, hate me, hate me, hate me, hate me.<\/em>\u00a0And I thought:\u00a0Man, there\u2019s zero chance<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    I thought maybe there was a few, and I\u2019ll give credit to \u00a0Emily, Rick Devens, Christian, Dee \u2014\u00a0there were some people that you could tell that were truly just trying to make this, \u201cHey, let me hear what you have to say.\u201d And anyone else could say what they want. So to answer your question directly, I just felt it was very transparent based on the questions and responses that before this thing started, I think it was a wrap.<\/p>\n

    And votes surprise you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You know, I talked to one. I wanna keep it clean. There was one person that for sure just working together, I thought the vote would go a different way. The rest I really did think, which maybe I was being naive again because that\u2019s on me. I did think some things that had been done in the game and did I think I\u2019d get a vote? Yeah. I thought I\u2019d get a vote. But to sit there confidently and say win? No, I didn\u2019t think that either. So that\u2019s where I stood with it.<\/p>\n

    You laid out the case that you made it all the way to the end twice, with only one vote ever cast against you. Those are so damn solid stats, so why do you think the jury ultimately wasn\u2019t buying what you were selling?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    That\u2019s a great question, Dalton. I prepared for a lot of them, but not that one. Here\u2019s what I\u2019ll say. I have very strong feelings about that, but, you know, the athlete in me, the person that I am says it\u2019s my fault. So at the end of the day, it must have been something that I didn\u2019t do or something that I didn\u2019t say or didn\u2019t do in the game that didn\u2019t spark their results. If you have anyone that analyzes a game professionally like my wife does for the NBA \u2014\u00a0you know, if they already called the score before you shoot a basket, the game\u2019s hacked. But I will say this\u2026. You know, I\u2019ll leave it at that.<\/p>\n

    Let\u2019s say you get don\u2019t drop that ball and Aubry does not make the final three,. What do you think happens with the vote?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Man, that\u2019s a tough question. You know, I\u2019ll say this: Jonathan played an outstanding game and I think that other people in the game can also say that Aubry played a great game too. I just think that this is why\u00a0Survivor<\/em>\u00a0is so challenging is you\u2019re asking people to have a non-emotional, strictly analytical evaluation of the game and it just takes a special person to do that.<\/p>\n

    What do you make of what Cirie referred to as the \u201cJoetation\u201d and that idea that you had to be babysat and managed in the game?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You know, I made it a point to, like, I\u2019m never gonna throw, hate at anyone. I thought long and hard about this exit press. I had a lot of things to say about people and I thought:\u00a0I\u2019m gonna handle this how I always wanted to handle it.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0And this is what I\u2019ll say with that particular comment: I\u2019m not gonna comment on the first part of it. I\u2019m just not, but I\u2019ll say this: When I\u2019m talking to a friend who\u2019s someone I genuinely view as a friend, I\u2019m gonna be vulnerable with you. I\u2019m gonna\u00a0complain.Like\u00a0there\u2019s people in my life that I\u2019m just going to do what I need to do. I\u2019m gonna tell you every truth that I can.<\/p>\n

    If you\u2019re an enemy or someone that\u2019s\u00a0not<\/em>\u00a0a friend to me, I\u2019m gonna give you, \u201cNope, yep, the game is going great.\u201d I\u2019m gonna give you the buffer answer, right? And that\u2019s what I\u2019ll say with that is: Hey, had I known things that I said to a couple people as I\u2019m just venting to an honest, what I\u00a0thought<\/em>\u00a0friend is different than me. I\u2019m trying to build a relationship, and I\u2019m trying to then make sure that the game is gonna be the game.<\/p>\n

    This is not about you can\u2019t lie, cheat, or steal, or it\u2019s\u00a0Survivor<\/em>. It\u2019s about the differences in an alliance or you think you\u2019re in an alliance. If you\u2019re sharing venting moments, \u201cWhat about this? What about that? I don\u2019t know this.\u201d If you know that it\u2019s gonna be used against you, the answer is like, \u201cHow\u2019s the game going, Joe?\u201d \u201cGreat.\u201d \u201cHow are things?\u201d \u201cFine.\u201d \u201cHow\u2019s everything else?\u201d \u201cGood.\u201d And it\u2019s not gonna be used against me. But if it\u2019s turned into babysitting with two particular people or a group of people, then it\u2019s like: \u201cHey, I just put that vulnerability in the wrong hands. You know, I mean? That\u2019s really what it is. And that\u2019s part of the game. So that\u2019s how I feel about that.<\/p>\n

    How do you feel about the edit you got?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    I hate and will never blame the edit or talk about the edit because I love those people so much that do this show and I love\u00a0Survivor<\/em>\u00a0so much, but I\u2019ll tell you this: Obviously, it\u2019s not a documentary and that\u2019s what I want people to realize. It\u2019s not a documentary. Other players that are really smart understand that and chime into that or wait to see things and then comment.<\/p>\n

    There\u2019s no way that they can film every single minute and they do an outstanding job and they protect all of us. They help all of us. They do their best to tell an accurate story. And what I mean by that is they\u2019re not lying, they\u2019re not doing things that are out of pocket, they\u2019re just trying to tell an accurate story.<\/p>\n

    So when I think about the edit, I just take full accountability for I would\u2019ve done a lot of things different. So I\u2019m really grateful for them showing the things that they did, giving me the grace that they did, and I just love them. I love the people that put all their heart and soul into this show.<\/p>\n

    I know how competitive you are and you looked pissed after that last immunity challenge. Pissed at yourself. What was going on there in terms of processing that defeat?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You know, you hit it all. I think people don\u2019t understand like a division 1 athlete, and you try to go pro when you do these things and I don\u2019t think people realize that level of competition. And for some reason it\u2019s also hated at times. But in that moment, four balls won 48, We get to five for a while, and you lose and it\u2019s like,\u00a0man<\/em>. it isn\u2019t about, Aubry winning as much as the control that the win gives you. That\u2019s what that was. And to be honest with you, I\u2019m just so competitive. If people only knew how competitive I really am . People always talk. There\u2019s another person on the show that\u2019s like, \u201cOh, I\u2019m competitive.\u201d You have no idea how competitive I am. So, yeah, that was a rough one.<\/p>\n

    Finally, what was it like\u00a0<\/strong>getting to see Eva<\/strong>\u00a0again last night at the finale?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You know, that was awesome. What\u2019s hard in all this is you lose track of people at times. And it\u2019s nothing deeper than that. It\u2019s just, you know, 20 years age gap, east coast versus west coast, kids, all these things. I\u2019m always plucking away at what she\u2019s doing and she\u2019s plucking away at what I\u2019m doing and anytime I see that human it almost makes me cry.
