And to help push the performance into those ethereal dimensions, Coleman and the Red Clay Strays were joined onstage by a full gospel choir, who helped belt the latest single from their upcoming album,\u00a0<em>Grateful<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-3\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"max-md:faux-bleed mb-4 bg-accent\/2 pb-5 md:invisible md:mb-0 md:h-0 md:overflow-hidden md:pb-0\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-nowrap justify-center\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The performance was a fitting reminder of why the Red Clay Strays won the ACM Award for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year in 2025 \u2014 and how they followed that up with a\u00a0win for Group of the Year\u00a0earlier Sunday night.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-4\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mb-4\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cJust at a loss\u2026it doesn\u2019t feel real, truly,\u201d Coleman said while accepting the prize. \u201cWe\u2019re just some rednecks form Mobile, Alabama, and when we started playing in bars, we never thought we\u2019d go this far. We\u2019re truly grateful and thankful for everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">They previewed another\u00a0<em>Grateful\u00a0<\/em>track,\u00a0\u201cPeople Hatin\u2019,\u201d\u00a0in November at another trophy toss, the CMA Awards, where they also claimed honors for being Vocal Group of the Year. That song charted on the rock, country, and adult alternative airplay charts, proving their crossover appeal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019re country,\u201d\u00a0Coleman said in 2024. \u201cI love country music. That\u2019s what I was raised on. If anything, we\u2019re Americana.
