She also won \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d with Derek Hough in 2013, hosted her own TV talk show, starred in two Hallmark Channel movies with Wes Brown, and hosted her own country radio show on SiriusXM.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jBlUX0ND\"><\/div>\n<p>But tragedy struck in 2023, when Pickler\u2019s husband of 12 years, Kyle Jacobs,\u00a0died by suicide. Pickler was paired with 25-year-old Harper, a stay-at-home Missouri mom who grew up singing in her family\u2019s bluegrass band.<\/p>\n<p>The two seemed to bond immediately during their rehearsal, laughing over how judge Randy Jackson \u2014 who mentored the 2026 Top 5 \u2014 gave Pickler the nickname \u201cPickles\u201d during season five and it stuck. During the meet-up, the alum encouraged Hannah to believe in herself, telling her, \u201cYou\u2019re here because you belong here and you work hard and you sound amazing. This is your moment, so own it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The duo sang a powerful duet of Martina McBride\u2019s \u201cA Broken Wing,\u201d which Pickler performed on \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d in her audition at age 19. But the song took on new meaning as the resilient songstress sang the chorus with Harper: \u201cAnd with a broken wing, she still sings, she keeps an eye on the sky. Being able to share the stage with (Hannah) has been such a blessing. I mean, the talent is unbelievable. It\u2019s good to be home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When host\u00a0Ryan Seacrest\u00a0came out on stage and asked Pickler how it felt to be back, she told him, \u201cI just feel so incredibly blessed to be able to share the stage with talent, be in good company \u2026 It\u2019s like this\u00a0\u2018Idol\u2019<em>\u00a0<\/em>family club, and I\u2019m blessed to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It marked only the second time Pickler has performed in public since her husband\u2019s death. About a year later, she performed at the Grand Ole Opry for a Patsy Cline Tribute,\u00a0per \u201cAmerican Songwriter,\u201d\u00a0but has remained in the shadows since.<\/p>\n<p>Fans flooded social media during her return to the \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d stage, thrilled to see her doing well and still singing so beautifully. One fan tweeted, \u201cSo good seeing Kellie Pickler again! I\u2019ve always loved her but I never thought she could sing Martina McBride like that!
