Michael Bubl\u00e9\u00a0and Luisana Lopilato have built a beautiful life together ever since\u00a0they met in 2008. Years before they tied the knot in multiple \u2014 yes, multiple \u2014 wedding ceremonies,\u00a0The Voice<\/em>\u00a0Coach\u00a0learned to speak Spanish\u00a0to better connect with the Argentine actress and even popped the question in front of her family.<\/p>\n

When did Michael Bubl\u00e9 and Luisana Lopilato get married?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

After getting engaged in 2009, Bubl\u00e9 and Lopilato got married on March 31, 2011. On their 10th wedding anniversary in 2021, Bubl\u00e9 wrote in a tribute to his wife on\u00a0Instagram, \u201cYou\u2019re my way better half, my hero and the light of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9 told\u00a0Cosmopolitan<\/em>\u00a0in 2014 that he proposed in front of Lopilato\u2019s entire family and he was \u201cso nervous\u201d to pop the question. \u201cThat was the scariest part \u2014 being in front of them and asking her father\u2019s permission beforehand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The couple first exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 31, 2011, per\u00a0TODAY<\/em>, where the bride, 23 at the time, wore a lilac chiffon dress and silver heels while the groom, 35, wore a grey suit. Lopilato even\u00a0tossed her bouquet of purple orchids\u00a0out to a crowd of fans waiting outside for them. (You can see a\u00a0photo of their stunning outfits here.)<\/p>\n

Days later on April 2, 2011, they celebrated their marriage with 300 friends and family members in an extravagant ceremony in Buenos Aires. Bubl\u00e9 donned a classic black tuxedo and Lopilato wore white silk wedding dress with a tiered tulle skirt. (Check out\u00a0photos of their Argentinian wedding attire here.)<\/p>\n

Six weeks later, on May 20, 2011, the couple hosted their third wedding in Bubl\u00e9\u2019s Canadian hometown at the Pan Pacific hotel in Vancouver,\u00a0The Province<\/em>\u00a0reported. This gathering was even bigger with over 500 of their friends and family members in attendance, according to the newspaper. The lovebirds also wore different ensembles for their Canadian celebration; Lopilato stunned in a cream white wedding dress with pearls stitched on the bodice while, Bubl\u00e9 looked dapper in a dark suit with a thin tie. \u201cWe\u2019re both nervous, but we\u2019re excited,\u201d Bubl\u00e9 told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight Canada<\/em>\u00a0ahead of their third wedding, per\u00a0The Toronto Star<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s just another excuse to celebrate our love, have a few drinks, and to dance all night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9 told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight Canada<\/em>\u00a0that their\u00a0Buenos Aires wedding was \u201ca beautiful night\u201d with both of their families. \u201cHer family is so special and my family is so special that when they came together, we danced \u2018til 7 a.m.,\u201d he told the outlet in 2011.<\/p>\n

Considering how much Bubl\u00e9 admires Frank Sinatra, it\u2019s no surprise the newlyweds danced to one of his most romantic songs. In a 2021 interview with\u00a0Smooth Radio<\/em>, Bubl\u00e9 revealed their first dance wedding song was \u201cYoung at Heart,\u201d which Sinatra first recorded in 1954.<\/p>\n

Many artists have recorded their own versions of \u201cYoung at Heart\u201d over the years including\u00a0Bing Crosby,\u00a0Tony Bennett,\u00a0Bob Dylan, and Bubl\u00e9 himself. For Bubl\u00e9 and Lopilato\u2019s first wedding dance, they went with the original.\u00a0\u201cIt was Frank\u2019s version,\u201d he told\u00a0Smooth Radio<\/em>. \u201cThere\u2019s no way I would dance to my version of anything. Oh god no. I could only be so cringey, you know what I mean? I\u2019m cringey enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

After more than a decade of marriage, Bubl\u00e9 said he wants to renew their wedding vows so their children can be included.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ve always wanted to renew our vows, but never wanted to make people like pukey about it, you know what I mean?\u201d Bubl\u00e9 told\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/em>\u00a0in 2022. \u201cOur kids often ask us why they weren\u2019t at our wedding. They don\u2019t quite understand why they didn\u2019t get to be there. So, it\u2019s one of those things where we thought, \u2018You know what? We have a lot to celebrate in our life, why don\u2019t we? Wouldn\u2019t it be lovely to renew the vows, let the kids be there, and all that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
