Season 30 of The Voice will mark Levine\u2019s 19th season on the show. Levine was part of the show\u2019s inaugural season and he coached for 16 seasons before stepping away in May 2019.<\/p>\n
Then, on season 27, he made his long-awaited return as coach. He sat out for season 28 and then returned for season 29, which premiered on Feb. 23.<\/p>\n
Speaking about his return on season 27, Levine said it was largely because \u201cthe stars aligned.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was one of those moments where we started talking about it and it felt right\u2026 and it hadn\u2019t felt right until now,\u201d he said at the time.<\/p>\n
The \u201cSunday Morning\u201d singer also said he needed a \u201cbreak\u201d from being on TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cDoing it for so long, so consistently, for almost eight or nine years of my life, you can definitely start to get burnt,\u201d the \u201cThis Love\u201d singer said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI did it for this really long period of time so I started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music,\u201d Levine continued.<\/p>\n
The news of his return as coach comes after his contestant, Alexia Jayy, was crowned the winner of season 29.<\/p>\n
Levine previously won on season 1 with Javier Colon, season 5 with Tessanne Chin and season 9 with Jordan Smith.<\/p>\n
\u2018The Voice\u2019 Season 30 Coaches Could Include Blake Shelton Return<\/h2>\n
A production source told the outlet that producers are focused on creating a standout season to mark the show\u2019s 30th installment.<\/p>\n \u201cFor season 30, they want to go big since it will be a milestone year. Though the lineup isn\u2019t finalized yet since filming for 30 won\u2019t start until late Spring\/early Summer 2026,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s still time for changes and still all of season 29 to get through.\u201d<\/p>\n The source added that producers have long hoped to reunite\u00a0Shelton and Levine.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the producers are trying to lock in a deal to get Blake and Adam back together, they\u2019ve wanted that for years and think 30 is an opportune time to make it happen,\u201d the insider explained.<\/p>\n The reported lineup would also include Stefani and Clarkson.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it would be great to make it a full family affair with Gwen part of it too. Kelly would make the most sense to round out that foursome so that\u2019s the 4th person in talks,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n \u201cSo if producers get their way, 30 will be Adam, Blake, Gwen, and Kelly. Nothing is official yet though.\u201d<\/p>\n The insider noted that securing Shelton and Stefani could require a significant financial commitment.<\/p>\n \u201cThe biggest challenge is getting Blake and Gwen back at all, it\u2019s most likely going to cost the show a fortune to make that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Even without serving as a full-time coach, Shelton continues to be part of \u201cThe Voice\u201d in unexpected ways.<\/p>\n During an episode in season 28, Michael Bubl\u00e9 joked about his chances of winning again after back-to-back victories.<\/p>\n After Bubl\u00e9 bragged about a potential third consecutive win, Niall Horan responded with a prerecorded clip of Shelton\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t give a crap about a three-peat,\u201d Shelton said in the recording.<\/p>\n The moment drew laughter from the audience and coaches. Horan then looked upward and joked, \u201cMy father! Is that you?\u201d before replaying the soundbite.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cI miss you dad.
