As\u00a0The Voice<\/i>: Battle of Champions<\/em>\u00a0moves closer to finding its winner, Coach\u00a0Kelly Clarkson emotionally reminded us all that there are no losers: anyone who gets to sing for an audience and move people with their music is so \u201clucky.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the\u00a0All-Star Showdown, which saw the three Coaches bring back standout Artists from previous seasons, Clarkson reunited with\u00a0Jake Hoot,\u00a0winner of Season 17. Hoot, a country singer, was a 1-Chair Turn who made it all the way to the top, and his performance of \u201cDesperado\u201d by the Eagles reminded everyone why during the April 6 episode of\u00a0The Voice<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Hoot,\u201d Clarkson told her former Artist. \u201cI think not only are you one of the best country singers that\u2019s ever been on this show but I also think you\u2019re like a true gentleman, and that\u2019s rare.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelly Clarkson explained why she was brought to tears on\u00a0The Voice<\/em><\/h2>\n

Getting choked up, Clarkson continued to tell Hoot, \u201cThat part you did at the end like, broke me which is why I\u2019m tearing up. That little falsetto man, that move, it\u2019s not just a cool move to do, it\u2019s sincere and it\u2019s why I love music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking around the room at Artists from across years of\u00a0The Voice<\/i>\u00a0who\u2019ve had their dreams come true thanks to the show \u2014 and knowing that\u00a0she got her own start on a reality TV competition\u00a0\u2014 Clarkson became overwhelmed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s why I love all these Artists in this room and we\u2019re so lucky,\u201d she said before wiping away tears. \u201cWe\u2019re so lucky to get to do what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson\u2019s not alone in thinking that getting an audience is a prize worth more than getting a trophy. Former Coach\u00a0Michael Bubl\u00e9\u00a0eloquently explained\u00a0to\u00a0NBC Insider\u00a0<\/em>that his\u00a0favorite part about being a Coach on\u00a0The Voice\u00a0<\/em>is getting to witness how much people\u2019s live have changed.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favorite part about it was when I had to let people go for the first time, I was upset about it. Until I realized that their lives had changed. Until I realized that their careers had started. They started to create a business that could go on,\u201d he shared.\u00a0\u201cTheir socials have grown\u2026just from being on this massive television program that has seven to 11 million people watching all over the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n
