New coach\u00a0Kelsea Ballerini\u00a0took the opportunity to tease Adam Levine on \u201cThe Voice\u201d \u2014 and she got a little help from Blake Shelton. Shelton, who was known for lovingly harassing Levine, is no longer a coach on the show. Now Ballerini is getting in on the fun.<\/p>\n

Kelsea Ballerini Pokes Fun at Adam Levine on \u2018The Voice\u2019<\/h2>\n

Shelton and Levine had a lot of fun times on \u201cThe Voice\u201d when they playfully bickered and roasted each other as rival coaches. Levine is back as a coach for season 27, but he doesn\u2019t have Shelton to trade jabs with.<\/p>\n

Ballerini is bringing some of that Shelton sass to the show.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0January 2025 interview\u00a0with News Channel 8\u2019s \u201cDaytime,\u201d Ballerini talked about her new coaching gig.<\/p>\n

Before they dug into the interview, the hosts showed a clip from the new season of \u201cThe Voice,\u201d in which Levine tries to convince a contestant to join his team.<\/p>\n

The camera pans to Ballerini, who hits her chair button. Shelton\u2019s voice is heard saying, \u201cAdam\u2019s a big baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballerini says, \u201cI had it for when I really needed some backup and I got it.\u201d She presses the button again and Shelton says, \u201cAdam won\u2019t shut up\u201d and \u201cAdam, you say a lot of stupid stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ballerini says, \u201cI rest my case,\u201d as the other coaches have a good laugh.<\/p>\n

Levine takes it in stride, saying, \u201cYou know what that reminds me of? My long pedigreed history here on \u2018The Voice.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

During her interview with \u201cDaytime,\u201d Ballerini shared, \u201cI\u2019m having so much fun. Even just that clip \u2026 that is what it\u2019s been like on set every time. We\u2019re just having the most fun. I can\u2019t wait for people to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelsea Ballerini Got Solid \u2018Voice\u2019 Advice From Kelly Clarkson<\/h2>\n

In a February 2025 interview with \u201cChicago Today,\u201d Ballerini shared\u00a0how Kelly Clarkson helped\u00a0ease her nerves about joining \u201cThe Voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI texted [Kelly Clarkson] and I was like, \u2018Dude, I\u2019m nervous. Like, I know I want this, but I also don\u2019t know if I\u2019m ready for this. Also, I haven\u2019t done television like this before,\u2019\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

Clarkson, as a seasoned \u201cVoice\u201d coach, knew just what to tell the country superstar.<\/p>\n

\u201cRemember that the first bit is not live. So if you get nervous or you say something that you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, I stumbled, I shouldn\u2019t have said that,\u2019 you\u2019re going to be covered,\u201d she recalled Clarkson telling her.<\/p>\n

Clarkson assured Ballerini, \u201cYou\u2019re going to be safe. Like, it\u2019s not live until the end, and by then you\u2019ll be totally ready for it. And she was right.\u201d<\/p>\n
