Their vote has made him the only Filipino\/Asian winner of the U.S. version of The Voice, or any other U.S. based singing competition show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a whole country watching this like a Super Bowl, no joke,\u201d Bubl\u00e9 said with pride. \u201cAnd what\u2019s more interesting is that it wasn\u2019t just the Philippines. It was Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, people in China. There were people everywhere that saw themselves in this kid and it\u2019s very cool. He can\u2019t believe it. And to be honest, I emailed them like, \u2018Why is Michael Bubl\u00e9 picking that song for me for playoffs?\u2019 I was saying, \u2018Can I just sing his song, \u2018Feeling Good,\u2019 because I know that I\u2019ve been singing that for so long?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vasquez then looked at his Coach and said, \u201cBut you\u2019re like, \u2018No, you\u2019re not doing that one. You\u2019re doing this song.\u2019 So I trusted him.
